ACE-031 is a soluble fusion protein consisting of the extracellular domain of activin receptor type IIB (ACVR2B) linked to a human IgG1 Fc region. By acting as a decoy receptor, it sequesters multiple TGF-β superfamily ligands — including myostatin, activin A, GDF-11, and BMP-9 — that negatively regulate skeletal muscle mass.
Research Applications:
- Myostatin and activin signaling pathway studies
- Skeletal muscle hypertrophy and atrophy models
- Muscle wasting disease research (cachexia, sarcopenia, DMD)
- Bone and fat tissue regulation via ACVR2B pathway
