IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino acid analog of human Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 engineered with a 13-residue N-terminal extension and an Arg³ substitution. These modifications reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins, extending its serum half-life to approximately 20–30 hours versus the ~12 minutes of native IGF-1.
