Glutathione

Glutathione (γ-L-Glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine, GSH) is the most abundant endogenous antioxidant in mammalian cells, present at millimolar concentrations in the cytosol. As both a direct radical scavenger and substrate for glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase enzymes, it is central to virtually all redox biology research.
